The district energy infrastructure, or energy loop, enables heat and cold storage and interaction between the different buildings of a same urban or industrial complex. It allows the integration of one or many heating and cooling technologies based on the exploitation of locally produced sustainable energy sources, such as aerothermal, geothermal and solar energy as well as biomass.
