The city of Montreal and the city of Blainville entrust a second energy efficiency project to Énergère

Convinced of the reliability of the ESCO model guaranteeing investment, energy savings and subsidies, the city of Blainville and the city of Montreal have each selected Énergère in 2011 in order to realize a turnkey energy efficiency project. Seeing the concrete results of the first phase, both municipalities have recently launched a second tender, reselecting Énergère.

In total, 32 chalets in the Montreal city’s parks are targeted by the energy efficiency projects. These will eliminate, among other things, the use of heating oil in all the chalets, in favor of less polluting energy sources. With all the measures deployed by Énergère and the expertise of our team, the buildings that are part of the project will reduce their greenhouse gases emissions by 70% and their energy consumption by 32%. The energy savings will amount to $228,000 annually! Work is currently underway and will continue until next fall.

In 2011, Énergère carried out an energy efficiency project in the municipal buildings of Blainville (arena, library, town hall, etc.). In 2014, the city has entrusted Énergère for a second phase of the Energy efficiency project, in order to replace nearly 3,000 street lights on the entire territory of the municipality with new highly efficient DEL lighting.
