John Matthews

ACTING REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT, QUEBEC

John Matthews began his career in the Fire Protection industry with Siemens, before starting an 18-year career with Tyco SimplexGrinnell. At the latter, he rose to strategic executive leadership roles, overseeing industrial market development and management of the Public Private Partnership (P3) program. In 2020, through the ESC acquisition, he became Vice President- Master Systems Integration at Ainsworth. In this role, he plays a key role in the implementation of award-winning smart buildings nationwide. Since the beginning of 2024, he holds the position of Acting Regional Vice President, Quebec. Human, innovative and visionary, John brings his expertise to support Énergère and Ainsworth teams in achieving decarbonization objectives for their customers.

François Shink, ing.

VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONS

François Shink has been a mainstay at Énergère for almost 20 years. He started out as Director of Construction and Development, and in 2020, joined the management committee, now overseeing all operations as Vice President Operations. With his expertise in building engineering and his project management experience, he offers exceptional support to his teams and to Énergère’s customers. His commitment, determination and leadership make him a key player in the profitability and sustainability of our organization.

Jean Théroux

VICE PRESIDENT, GROWTH AND INNOVATION

Jean Théroux is an intrapreneur specializing in business innovation and corporate strategy, with over 20 years of experience. He began his career at Énergère as a strategy and innovation consultant, where he was notably the architect of the Smart Cities business unit’s positioning evolution. Since the beginning of the year, he holds the position of Vice-President, Growth and Innovation for all Ainsworth and Energère activities in Quebec. Results-oriented, Jean is recognized for his boldness, pragmatism, team leadership and creativity.

Julie Laflamme

DIRECTOR, TALENT AND CULTURE

Julie Laflamme is a skilled human resources professional with nearly 20 years of experience. Her ability to effectively manage complex situations with emotional intelligence and integrity make her a strategic contributor to our organization’s Director, Talent and Culture function. She brings a high level of passion and caring to her work, as well as natural leadership skills and excellent consultative abilities for all employees and management.

Yannick Lavallée, CPA

VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION

Yannick Lavallée is a specialist in accounting and financial management with over 20 years of experience. He began his career in an accounting firm before transitioning to managing the accounting departments of public and private companies. In 2019, he joined the Energère team, and since 2022 has held the position of Vice President Finance and Administration. Focused on the development of innovative solutions, he concentrates on the implementation and efficiency of processes to satisfy both operations and finance teams.
