Project
The Montreal School Board carried out a major energy efficiency projects at in 4 of its most important buildings, namely Lucien-Pagé high school, Édouard-Montpetit high school, Saint-Luc high school and the École des métiers de la construction (School of Construction Trades). Thanks to this initiative, the MSB reduced energy consumption by 38% and greenhouse gas emissions by 50%. This project included an awareness and communication campaign that involved the participation of students and school personnel.

Implemented measures
- Updating the general lighting system with DEL technology, including sports facilities
- Recommisssioning of all control sequences
- Implementing new automation systems
- Replacing boilers and upgrading boiler rooms
- Replacing chillers and eliminating cooling tower
- Converting ventilation systems to variable air volume systems (VAV)
- Implementing a solar heatin system at Lucien-Pagé high school
