The Société de développement Angus (SDA), developer, designer and manager of
the Technopôle Angus, is building an eco-neighborhood that will accommodate 1,500 new workers, some twenty local businesses, several hundred housing units and four public squares.
Among the innovative concepts at the heart of the eco-neighbourhood is an energy loop designed to deliver heating and cooling energy to all the buildings on the site using cutting-edge heat pump technologies. This loop principle is part of a modern, competitive real estate development that is resolutely oriented towards sustainable development, in perfect cohesion with the SDA’s goals. Énergère is responsible for the design, implementation and performance monitoring of the energy loop as part of a development contract.
Our project uses state-of-the-art aerothermal heat pump technology and automation solutions to ensure a first-rate service for the loop’s beneficiaries. Based on its experience. The energy intensity of the buildings is 30% to 50% lower than that of reference buildings. The metering and technologies implemented allow SDA to finance the loop’s investment as well as its operation and maintenance.
