The City of Shawinigan and the City of Montreal decided to implement a smart public lighting management system. Accompanied by Energere, the two cities ‒ with their own distinct realities ‒ decided to go forward with innovative technologies oriented towards the development of smart and sustainable cities. Shawinigan is the first city in Quebec to convert its street lighting to LED technology while integrating a smart control system. The City of Montreal, on the other hand, decided to push the limits of the systems available on the market by asking the integration of three different control products throughout the entire territory. The work involves 135,000 fixtures. The smart lighting communication network will enable the integration of additional smart services for the benefit of the citizens.
